I am a versatile reporter with a love for explaining complex topics through storytelling. I can write breaking news, enterprise and feature stories on a vast range of subjects and on tight deadlines. I excel at field reporting, records requests and building relationships with sources in communities impacted by stories. In addition to writing, I am proficient in video production, social media design, SEO and photography
After graduating from the University of Colorado in May, I was a summer 2026 Dow Jones News Fund intern at the Denver Business Journal. While there I covered commercial real estate, sports business and the hospitality industry. I was first to report the delay of a major stadium project in Denver and the stagnation of a major expansion at the states largest hotel over a property tax lawsuit.
I have interned at the Minnesota Star Tribune, Colorado Sun, Estes Valley Voice and Boulder Daily Camera. Additionally, my work has been featured by Colorado Public Radio, Denver Westword, Aspen Public Radio and Rocky Mountain Community Radio. I have a passion for feature and enterprise reporting. I have topic expertise in sports, politics, business and transportation.
I won the 2026 Hearst Journalism Award for sports reporting and the Dan Jenkins medal for excellence in student sports writing. My reporting on the most destructive wildife in Colorado history was recognized by the Hearst Awards, SPJ and the Associated Collegiate Press. In 2024 and 2026, I was selected as a finalist for the Hearst National Writing Championship in San Francisco.
While at CU Boulder , I founded the schools Society of Proffesional Journalists chapter and was the founding editor-in-chief of Mountain Time Magazine, a student outdoors magazine.
I strive to be a swiss army knife in both my coverage areas and mediums. I have experience reporting for print, digital, audio, video and shoot my own photos. My reporting has won several state, regional and national awards. My reporting on the harrasment of Mormon CU students at a football game won the Hearst Journalism Awards sports writing category.
